On 27 August of 2018 the kick-off meeting was organized by AXES research group in UAntwerpen where all four partners from three Universities presented their expertise and the state-of-the-art in the field, discussed the work packages and up-coming research visits of involved PhD students. In September 2018 a PhD student and a postdoc from the Russian partner (M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, Lomonosov MSU) visited UAntwerpen to perform first tests of photosensitizers prepared by the Russian partner and evaluate electrochemical and photocatalytic properties of the compounds. A PhD student from the Romanian partner (University of Medicine and Pharmacy Cluj-Napoca, UMP) visited AXES research group in the period of 3 months from October to December of 2018. These visits contributed to the exchange of the expertise as intended in the project as an important part of the interdisciplinary project.

A joint PhD research stay has been started in December 2017 in the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Cluj-Napoca (UMP- PhD Student Adi Blidar), joining together AXES research group (electrochemistry, photoelectrochemistry) and UMP group.
